Long time no see - that's how my relationship with the VW Meeting at the Lac d'Annecy could be best described as. In fact it was three years ago that I attended that event in France for the last time. The organizing club had found a new site for the 2006 edition that seemed to be very nice as it's on a lakeside campground. The weather forecast was ok and there we went on a saturday morning.

NEW! Enjoy the incredible
slideshow!
On our roadtrip to the Lac d'Annecy we came across some picturesque scenery and took the opportunity for an icecream break. By the way, this picture's already history as Chrigel replaced the stock steelies with a set of repro fivespokes just two days later.
Nice cal looker from the local latinbug guys.
Mathias Montbel and his beautiful ragtop oval are regulars at many big meetings around europe.
The exhaust doesn't look like there's much hp hidden under the decklid, but style and stance are very ok on this pinstriped cal looker.
Jean-Michel recently sold his chocolate resto cal looker in order to concentrate his forces on his Ghia.
Another looker from the latinbug gang.
"Is there anything left I could bolt on my car?"
I don't think there's any skiing opportunity in long beach CA, but anyway a nice and clean resto looker from Switzerland.
Very nice oval convertible, restored many moons ago and still looking good.
Off to the west coast!
