1968 1600L Notchback owner: Stephan Polesana, BE engine: stock 1600 It's hard to believe but there are still unrestored one owner cars around. Stephan's 1968 notchback has got 40'000 kilometers only on the odo and has never been welded. Thus, no need for a new paintjob, but you can't go wrong with a slight lowering and a set of chromed steelies which is exactly what Stephan opted for. For more info visit his website.

1965 1500S Notchback owner: EL DIDO, VD engine: stock 1500 You may say that this is just another seablue 1965 type 3 1500S notchback in mostly unrestored condition bought from an elderly lady. And you're right! The only difference to Achim's notch are the repro 5-spokes.

1965 1500 Notchback owner: Estelle Saillen, VD engine: stock 1500 A warm welcome to the first girl in the swissfiles! Estelle decided to start in style with her recently finished notchback. The basic treatment of any type 3 consists of a lowering job so her daily driver is lowered 2 splines front and 1 spline rear. She didn't want to compromise on the wheels so she ordered a set of Der Steiner Rad in 4.5x15 and 5.5x15. The stock interior got a Webber (USA) steering wheel and some other goodies.

1965 1500S Notchback owner: Achim Schafer, FR engine: stock 1500 This Type 3 1500S was originally owned by an elderly lady during more than 30 years. It's been restored in 2003 by Achim himself. He had purchased the car from Manuel Brügger who knew this car from his childhood. It's lowered three splines in the front and one spline in the rear, while a genuine EMPI Eliminator shifter has been installed in the interior. Future plans call for some engine improvements as Achim is a proud member of the performance oriented GEZUVOR VW Club...

1962 1500 Notchback owner: Alain Andre, FR engine: stock 1500 Not bad to have a daily driver like this! Alain even drives his slammed notch during the cold swiss winter... Not necessary to mention that he's a hardcore aircooled VW enthusiast.
