Day 0. Right after crossing the swiss border to the north, we take the train from Lörrach to Hamburg. This is when the first serious technical problems occur: the carb of the splitwindow is leaking fuel. And the chromed sprintstars are in a current lack of center caps. This is going to be one hell of a trip.
