The first VWirus Power Day back in 2003 was a huge success as it was the first swiss dyno day for aircooled VWs. Thus it was no surprise when Alain André announced the 2004 Power Day. Almost 30 performance enthusiasts brought their cars to the dyno at Bulle, close to Fribourg. The engine testing was accompaigned by good music, fast food and a whole bunch of spectators and VW owners with their cars as well, that gave that day a very cool atmosphere. In the evening everyone headed to Fribourg for the 9th CRUISE NIGHT, organized by the GEZUVOR VW Club. |

Engine is a 2110cc type 1, built by Walter Zwahlen, the leading swiss VW engine builder. Some say he's something like Switzerland's Gene Berg... |

It's owned by Mister Stritt. Since 1969, all of his cars had one name in common: Porsche 356! |

The engine should develop something around 130hp, but some problems limited the output to 113hp. |

My first ever dyno session resulted in a 104hp w/ fanbelt on. After the first try, I replaced the 210 air correction jets with 190 items. The better fuel/air mixture lead to a 110,5hp. |

The second GEZUVOR car was Manuel's '52 split window. |

Thanks to some decent head work, a wild cam and 10.5 CR, the dyno showed an impressive 105hp figure. Remember, the engine is a 1600cc only! |
