It's been for the first time that Alain André from the swiss VW performance shop "VWirus Aircooled" organized the VWirus Power Day. Similar to the Dyno Day in the USA, the VWirus Power Day gave the opportunity to take your car to the dyno to measure its performance. I don't have all the engine details of the cars but I hope to give you at least a brief insight into the performance of some swiss and french type 1 engines. Thanks to Alain for organizing the Power Day, it's been definitely one of the best events in Switzerland this year, which has been proved by the number of participants and the great time we all had as well. Be ready for the next VWirus Power Day in 2004!

I don't think that I have to introduce this car anymore: It's Eric Bertrand 2332ccm powered quartermile monster. The Autocraft case is equipped with a 84mm Scat crank, 6" Pauter rods, 94mm Venolia pistons, JayCee cylinders, an Engle FK98 cam, ported 910 Autocraft heads with 50x40 Del West titanium valves, 14,5:1 CR, Berg 58IDAs, MSD 6AL ignition and a 2 1/8" header with stinger. Let's see what it can do...

Stéphane from the Volksdiffusion shop brought his beautiful 2 litre Cal Look sedan.

Another clean cal look bug from France, owned by Pierre-François Nogara. Engine is a 48IDA equipped 1776.

All the way from Monaco? Yes, by airplane, but the way home will be made on the road...

Urs came with his '68 cal look sedan. According to him you won't hardly be able to recognize this car next year. Can't wait to see it again, though.
