Dezember 2007. No sleep til Ninove 2008 Alle Jahre wieder lädt Fast Freddy nach Ninove zu den Freddy Files. Dieses Jahr steht der kleine aber feine Event unter dem Motto "The Karmann Initiative". Wie schon 2007 macht sich wieder eine Schweizer Delegation auf den Weg nach Ninove in Belgien. Wer am 9. März 2008 dabei sein will, meldet sich am besten gleich bei Hangy!

März 2007. Gold gewinnt Gold! Erfolgreiches Auswärtsspiel für das Team Hofstetter/Mertz: Auf der Volksworldshow im Londoner Vorort Esher wurde ihr Goldstück zum Best Of Show gewählt! Der Titel ist die Krönung einer Erfolgsserie mit Titelreportagen in allen führenden VW-Magazinen Europas und der perfekte Start in die neue Saison. Herzlichen Glückwunsch, Jungs!

März 2007. Swap Meet bei VWirus Wer beim Frühlingsputz auch an seine Garage denkt, wird sicherlich über das eine oder andere alte VW-Teil stolpern. Weg dam... Halt! Dafür gibt's jetzt die VW degazage, auf Deutsch "Swap Meet" Hier kannst du Teile verkaufen, die du nicht mehr brauchst, aber jemand anders schon lange sucht. Das Ganze findet am 2. Juni in Vuadens statt, direkt bei VWirus auf dem Areal der alten Guigoz-Fabrik. Wer einen Stand betreiben will, sollte sich bei VWirus anmelden.

November 2006. Das Ticket zu mehr Leistung Ganz egal, ob du beim gestrigen Ampelstart gegen den lahmen Dreier-BMW alt ausgesehen hast oder dein Leistungsdiagramm am Power Day für Heiterkeit sorgte, bei HOFSTETTER wird dir geholfen. 11. Juli 2006. Seems like the golden oval DGO's got the performance to match its looks. The dyno session at Alain Andre's VWirus workshop resulted in an impressive figure of 202 hp at the flywheel. Congratulations guys, especially to engine builder Marcel Hofstetter!

28. Mai 2006. Well done, guys! One of the top 20 awards at the Super VW Nationals in Thenay France went to Marcel and Christoph for their golden oval.

28. Mai 2006. Bad luck for Rudy Olivenca: He crashed his immaculate 1950 WPK splitwindow drag bug during the Super VW Nationals. While the car was totalled its owner, builder and driver luckily wasn't injured. All the best wishes to Rudy.

17. Mai 2006. Es ist vollbracht! Aus einer Bieridee geboren, wurde unter Blut, Schweiss und Tränen ein einzigartiges Projekt realisiert. Wer bei der Präsentation dabei sein will, kann sich bei einer der beiden Mailadressen auf dem Flyer anmelden. Los geht es ab etwa 17.00 Uhr mit Bratwurst und Bier. Wichtig: Der Event findet nur bei schönem Wetter statt.

13. Mai 2006. Hurra, der Frühling ist da! Und mit ihm die CRUISE NIGHT FRIBOURG #13 am Samstag, 13. Mai 2006. Wie immer treffen wir uns ab 18h00 auf dem Conforama-Parkplatz hinter dem McDrive bei der Autobahnausfahrt Fribourg Nord. Passend zum Motto "Show your projects" haben sich bereits vier Hammerprojekte angekündigt, die teilweise erstmals auf der Strasse zu sehen sein werden... Wir sind gespannt!

March 2005. Is this cool or what? Here we got Johnny Danger's latest creation, this awesome type 2 from the late 50s. Believe me when I say, whatever he does, he does it in style. The killer stance, the right rims and a tasteful color combination, it's all there! By the way, it's a former swiss army bus. Looks way better this way, doesn't it?

January 2005. Bad news for Roby Varesco: A fire destroyed the building where he and some friends had stored their cars. While two cars were completely destroyed, Roby's '59 beetle can be rebuild. It seems that the fire was set by someone who already burnt down some other barns in that area. Good luck Roby with your '59, it will be better than ever before!!! January 2005. This is cool! Switzerland just introduced the new personalized licence plate. The guys from the GEZUVOR VW Club didn't hesitate and ordered their first set...

January 2005. Ever heard of the Barndodge? In fact, this odd looking vehicle used to be an old Dodge truck that's been equipped with the cabin of a barndoor pickup. And if that wasn't enough, that poor creature had to donate his two doors in order to save Switzerland's oldest existing bus... Remember, you just have to know where to look for those barndoor spare parts!

May 2004. Switzerland's latest Cal Looker! Urs Beyeler finally got his set of perfectly detailed Pedrini rims. With some decent tires, those wheels change the look of his blue sedan dramatically. Well done.

May 2004. A rare picture from the early years... GEZUVOR VW Club member Manuel in his '52 split window sedan. Metalflake helmet and race sunglasses definitely mean business.

April 2004. Im Delius Klasing Verlag erscheint am 28.April die Käfer Revue, ein Magazin rund um den Käfer und seine Artverwandten. Unter anderem werden darin der Beutler von GEZUVOR VW Club-member Paolo Tonella und der Cal Look Ovali von DFL-Mitglied Tobias Pleines vorgestellt. Au-erdem gibt es noch viele weitere luftgekühlte Themen, vom originalen 1950er Bus von Tonny Larson bis hin zum Karmann mit Porsche 993-Motor von Jochen Bader.

Doch nicht nur Fahrzeugvorstellungen bietet das Heft, auch Reportagen von Clauspeter Becker (ehemals Gute Fahrt, ehemals Auto Motor und Sport) und Dr. Bernd Wiersch (ehemaliger Leiter Automuseum Volkswagen). January 2004. Engine builder Marcel Hofstetter just finished the engine for Roger's '59 ragtop. The 2276ccm has been built using the following parts: - new Autolinea aluminium case with full flow - Scat 82mm crank (fully balanced, polished) - balanced & polished Scat conrods, Mahle 94mm cylinders & pistons - Engle W120 cam (probably to be replaced next winter) - CB Ultramag heads, 42 x 37.5 valves, ported & polished - dual Weber 48IDF with JKM linkage - MSD 6AL ignition - Ahnendorp exhaust

August 2003. Thanks to Alain Dr. VWirus for the BBQ at the Lac de Gruy_re on August 1, Switzerland's national holiday. We had a great time and enjoyed lots of homemade salad, local beer and fine meat.

June 2003. Hell yeah! Achim's '65 notch from heaven is almost finished. Here you can check out the first shot after the restoration.

Behind the camberg curtain. Previously unreleased picture.

Achim's '65 notch formerly known as the Notch From Hell is on the way to become a heavenly creature. During spring 2003 it got a new paintjob and it's gonna be finished in a few weeks. A real EMPI shifter and set of repro BRMs are already patiently waiting on the shelf.

Just a few weeks ago, Roby finished his rebuilt engine and did some test runs at Merignac and Lucry Levis. The new 044 heads with 42 x 37.5 valves had been ported & polished by Steve (Steve's Racing Heads, Belgium) while the engine is still the 90 x 78.4 combo with 48IDAs. Check the "swissfiles" section for more infos. With street radials he already ran some low 14s and he'll surely get into the 13s with slicks. A dyno session is planned for the next weeks.

The countdown to Bad Camberg... Just some minor detailing and the '44 GEZUVOR K_belwagen also known from the Cal Look Crusade is ready to go. Bizzare buggy rims are way to go this summer. See you at BC, the place to be!

Check out the new swiss style! Original height with winter tyres, perfect paintjob and additional tractor turn signals. In fact this is how a '55 panel has to look like to become street legal in Switzerland... Glad that Andi told me, that the bus is lowered again (after he made the technical control MFK).
