Every three years the Vee Dub Club Frauenfeld invites the swiss VW scene to their VW CLASSIC. That name may sound familiar to some of you... Indeed it's been held the same weekend as the "big" VW Classic in the holy land of Volkswagenism, known as California. The swiss weather was the most obvious difference between these two events. And as the average swiss VW enthusiast is afraid of driving through the rain, many of them decided to stay at home. We've been there anyway and had a great day, crowned by two trophies! And there wasn't even a drop of rain.
Marcel's type 3 finally got the stance that it deserves. Now it's only a matter of time that the roofrack will find a new home, I guess.
Some VW owners drive their convertibles even when the sun ain't shining. Our GEZUVOR VW Club convertible-fanatic Paolo is definitely one of them.
I just realized that I've never shot the interior of Paolo's gorgeous Ghia. So here it is. Lovely, isn't it?
Talking of Ghia convertibles, here's another fine example.
Hey baby, what about a ride in my car? This should always work with this interior. I'm sure.
Most of the Resto Cal beetles at the event were owned by the members of the Vee Dub Club Frauenfeld.
The club's own vintage corner. The green oval is soon to get his slammed stance again. First it needs to pass the swiss TÜV.
Impressive club display.
Centerlines never go out of style. Roland Gentners Cal Look has been built several years ago in the typical late 80s / early 90s fashion. We like it like that, even more as it's a fresh sight in the middle of all the subtle Old School Cal Look colors.
Maybe you've realized that I've tried a new style of photography. More details, more special views, less three-quarter shots of the whole car. I'm not sure if I'm gonna go on with that. Maybe it's a little arty. Maybe not, we'll see.
