The meeting at Dulliken may not be an action packed event but it's always a good place to meet many local VW people. Situated in the middle of nowhere, an official VW dealership offers enough space for the cars and a catering area with cold drinks and fine food. So we definitely had a good time in the sun.

After my engine builder Marcel Hofstetter had finished my motor, he finally managed to fit his own 2 litre type 1. Very nice work indeed. It's fed by a pair of Weber 44 IDFs while the cam is an Engle FK-8 with 1.4:1 rocker arms.

Marcel installed a one-off stainless steel exhaust system by Turbo Thomas. Quality and sound are awesome.

Didi Wildhaber's '56 Oval ragtop features some amazing electronic gimmicks.

Engine is a stock 1200 with a pair of Solex 28mm carbs. The velocity stacks have been built from the ones used on 48 IDAs. Another interesting item: the early style distributor is a modified Bosch 009!
